My passion for health and fitness started at an early age. Being a skinny kid, growing up I was often embarrassed and self-conscious about my body image. As a teenager, I must have bought every body building, health and fitness magazine possible, trying new fitness programs, different diets and a plethora of supplements. Back then, my only goal was to put on muscle by any means necessary. Unfortunately (and to no surprise now), none of these programs/diets/supplements worked, but I continued going to the gym every day and through trial and error I eliminated all of the things that didn’t work.
Once I decided to move on from fad diets and pick up books with more substance than the “Bro Science” articles I kept finding on the internet and on the magazine racks, I started to finally see results. The more results I saw, the more my hunger for health and fitness knowledge grew. I eventually became so passionate about it, that I switched my major in college to Exercise Science; opening myself up to a whole new world of information about proper exercise and nutrition. During my time in class, my internship at a Strength and Conditioning gym, and working out with my peers, all I could think about was implementing my new health and fitness beliefs and the opportunity to share them with others. After finishing school, I obtained my personal training certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Armed with my degree, certification, and over a decade of personal experience in the gym, I am ready to guide you toward accomplishing your health and fitness goals
